My services
General Contracting, Project Management, Design Consultation, Carpentry
For specific projects, I am looking for decks (new builds and rehabilitation), kitchen remodels, asphalt roofing, finishing your basement, or other room remodels, building a garage
What to expect
After reaching out to me, I will respond back with a few questions to get to know a little bit about your project, we will start putting together a scope and we will get to know each other a little bit. I can sometimes provide a free estimate so if you know the square footage or linear footage that can make that possible. If we agree that I might be a fit, we will schedule a site visit. I do charge for these, if you decide to hire me that will just roll over into final billing. Once on site I will do the measuring, and document the project in it’s current condition and will get a really good understanding of what you want. I can get really close to a final price here and will have a contract with me. Once we get a contract signed, we can get into details colors, times, subs if needed, and such things like that. And then we schedule your project. I do the necessary permitting, ordering, scheduling. If we are doing a remodel, I will be responsible for demolition and disposal…disposal regardless.
Work history and about me
I started work young, like 8 years old, pullin hay bales and feeding livestock. That lasted until I was 16 and I got my first construction job in 2002. The summer before my senior year, it was a custom home, the foundations were poured and I was learning the very basics of carrying 2x6s. I got good at it. graduated high school and got a job building spec homes for a realtor in Eau Claire, did that for 4 years. I got lucky and cut my teeth with a 55 year old carpenter and learned as much as I could. We staked out basements, framed, did drywall, poured flat concrete, painted, installed doors and trim. I moved into remodeling after that, a lot of gutters, roofing, and siding. Then 2008 happened, I ended up going back to school and got my bachelor’s in business management and started attending SCORE seminars. Once I graduated I signed a lease on a summer lake bar, I had been bartending starting at 24 and I was 30. During the winters I started working in commercial, and industrial construction. I worked with so many different trades and on a few really large projects. I let the lease go and moved into full time here and did if for another 3 years. Enter Covid, bought a house in MN flipped it started contracting for myself full time in 2021 and just moved to Hayward and am loving it.
Thanks for reading talk to you soon
Wishing you all the best
